Squint Alignment

Squint Alignment

Squint, or strabismus, is a condition where the eyes are misaligned, turning in, out, up, or down. It disrupts normal binocular vision and can lead to amblyopia if untreated, as the brain may disregard the image from the misaligned eye. Strabismus develops in early childhood, and treatment options include glasses, prisms, patching, exercises, and surgery. Early surgery (before age 5-6) has the best chance of restoring binocular vision, but cosmetic improvements are possible for older children and adults. Treatment benefits include effective eye function restoration, elimination of symptoms like double vision, quick recovery, and improved appearance.
